Snow Festivals are held annually in Japan and usually span over a few days. People build statues out of snow that turn into ice sculptures around the area of the festival, and people enjoy treats from vendors.

Harvest Moon Origins, Part 1: Harvest Moon 64
Some of the unused items in Harvest Moon: 64 are extraordinarily familiar, mainly because they appeared in later games in some shape or form. We’ll be going through some of the items, tools and gameplay additions that were shelved before the game’s official release - and their appearance later in the series.
Harvest Moon 64’s Vegetable Festival was Educational!
When playing Harvest Moon: 64, did you ever feel like you might be learning something? You were right.
Denizens of Flower Bud: Ann
The daughter of Hall, sister of Gray, and granddaughter of the original SNES game’s Ann. She doesn’t inherit much of that inventor knack for machines though.
Denizens of Flower Bud: Popuri
Before the mountain bridge is built in the first winter she still manages to climb her way up to meet the old couple at their dumpling restaurant, and is willing to go to dangerous lengths for a rare flower. She’s certainly Basil’s daughter alright... far from being simply “the flower girl,” Popuri could be a flower adventurer!
Denizens of Flower Bud: Karen
Karen is a brash, sharp tongued young woman who’s probably most infamously known for her unquenchable thirst for liquor, which she seems to take to any time she’s being put into a bad mood... which is basically every day
Denizens of Flower Bud: Maria
When she’s not holed up in her library, she could be found teaching the local kids about insects, cooking fish with Elli, or exploring Moon Mountain on her own. In time, she’ll become just as friendly with the player, even overcoming her fear of dogs and attending the Dog Race festival for the first time just to cheer yours on.
Denizens of Flower Bud: Elli!
Elli works the bakery alongside Jeff, her potential future spouse, and is largely cared for by her maternal grandmother, Ellen, who’s the same Ellen as the original Super Nintendo game.
Then and Now: Cliff
His original design came from 64, where he was Eve's (from the SNES game) grandson, but he took more of his personal beliefs from his great great grandfather.
My Favorite Events: Maria
It catches my attention from the very start: A sheepish librarian being excited to show me something in the middle of the night, and in pitch black darkness, each individual firefly lights up one-by-one and swirls around us.
