If history repeats itself, then Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town will be just as loved as the original. When this game was announced, I dug out my old copy of Friend of Mineral Town and played it. This game is a remake of the original, which meant I needed to immerse myself in … Continue reading Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town (JP) Review

Something Special: Igusa Matsuyama Interviewed by Ranch Story Community!
As a fan of Story of Seasons since the earliest days in Flowerbud Village, I have always adored the artwork of Igusa Matsuyama, who has helped make the worlds of Bokumono feel so alive, colorful, vibrant and filled with characters who I adore so much. That’s why, today, I’m especially delighted to bring a rare treat: Thanks to the collaboration of several of our community’s members doing translations, submitting questions, and providing guidance; I present a brief interview with the artist themselves!
Then and now: Mary
Unlike a lot of characters, Mary's Flowerbud Village and Mineral Town selves are both very similar, likely in part to most of their influence coming from their mother, Anna.
Then and Now: Jennifer
Like Brandon, Jennifer wasn’t in Mineral Town in either the original Back to Nature or the GBA versions.
Then and now: Brandon
As we can see, Brandon’s original design was that of thin air.
Then and now: Gray
Though Mineral Town Gray doesn’t broadcast it as openly, he still loves horses, so that may mean that his new shirt says “UMA” after all, appropriately covered up due to being a more subdued part of his character now.
Then and now: Carter
Carter is an original character for Mineral Town, which opted not to use 64′s Pastor Brown at all for... some odd reason. So why would he get such a drastic makeover?
Then and Now: Harris
He actually looks like a cop now. High visibility stripes, badge, and a black vest that I’m sure he’d use to mount a transceiver if there was any other police officers in town to talk to.
Then and now: Kai
These two Kais have different approaches to life, work ethic, and completely different families, they can still be a bit of a hopeless romantic.
Then and now: Popuri
While Popuri is one of the characters that feels like she changed the least in her transition from Flowerbud Village to Mineral Town, the biggest difference ends up being how her family treats her.
